Review the room and existing trim
We look at the wall lines, openings, floor transitions, current profiles, and nearby cabinetry to understand the full trim detail.
We shape interior trim around your home's layout, finish style, and daily use. Our licensed and insured general contractor provides free estimates for planned trim work.
Baseboards create a clean transition between finished walls and flooring.
Door and window casing gives openings a defined, consistent edge.
Built-ins and cabinetry trim connect storage details with the room around them.
Stair trim helps tie the stair area to nearby floors and walls.

Trim carpentry gives a room its finished edges. We work with baseboards, door casing, window trim, crown molding, built-ins, cabinetry details, and stair remodeling. The right fit depends on wall lines, floor transitions, opening sizes, and the trim already in the home. We also consider whether the new work should blend with existing profiles or create a distinct detail. This service suits homeowners who want visible finish work completed as part of a larger remodel or as a focused interior upgrade. It isn't the right answer for hidden framing, major structural changes, or repairs that require a separate trade.
Trim carpentry is finish woodwork that completes the edges, transitions, and built-in details inside a home.
We look at the wall lines, openings, floor transitions, current profiles, and nearby cabinetry to understand the full trim detail.
We identify the pieces to install, repair, or match, then provide a written scope, estimate, and project plan before work begins. Free estimates are available.
We measure wall runs, opening reveals, corner conditions, and transitions so each piece fits the room instead of relying on a repeated guess.
We cut and fit baseboards, casing, molding, built-ins, or stair details, then check the joints and alignment as the work progresses.
We conduct a final walkthrough, address documented items, and leave the work area orderly.
A few decisions help us size the trim work and prepare a useful estimate.
We list each trim area, profile decision, finish detail, and related repair in the written project plan.
We share progress updates as baseboards, casing, molding, built-ins, or stair details move through the work.
We review joints, transitions, and documented trim items with you before leaving the work area orderly.
Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.
Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.
Linda and her team did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them. We hired her for a kitchen remodel and asked for a very tight timeline. She delivered and we absolutely love the result. She was very commutative and available to us. Thank you Design and Build NW!
Tell HomeRemodelIssaquah.link which rooms, openings, or stair details need trim work. After you reach out, we'll discuss the existing finishes, prepare a written scope, and provide a free estimate.
New flooring can expose gaps beneath old baseboards or leave the previous trim at the wrong height. The finish depends on the floor edge, wall line, and the profile you want to keep. We can review the affected rooms, compare repair and replacement needs, and prepare a written trim scope before the next remodeling step moves forward.
Cabinetry can look unfinished when its sides, top, or nearby wall junction lack matching trim. The key decision is whether the detail should blend with the cabinet face or connect with the room's existing casing and molding. We assess those meeting points and include the needed built-in or finish carpentry work in the estimate.
A stair remodel can leave mismatched baseboards, casing, or transition pieces in the hall. Small profile differences stand out because people view the stair and hallway together. We inspect the adjoining runs, identify the pieces that need to meet, and plan the trim so the finished path reads as one connected interior detail.
